"The weak cannot forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong" .... it takes a lot of courage to forgive and let go of all the anger. To finally be able to say, "it's okay now, the anger is gone", requires a strong heart, aided by prayers and a positive mind. Not to forgive is like drinking poison hoping that the other person will die. It's like feeding a cancer inside us, harboring the hatred hinders us from moving forward and making better things for ourselves. It is hard to do if the person who has done us wrong doesn't even feel sorry for it. But do we have to wait until they realize that? I guess not. Some people see their mistakes, others just don't. Think of yourself, love yourself. Coz if you don't, who else will? That is our responsibility to ourself, to keep it healthy and harmoniously wealthy..... in mind, body and spirit. Forgiving is a hard journey, with it comes the realization that we have to let go of all the people and things that comes along with that hatred, even people that we want to hold on to if the circumstances were different.

The above blog is an old one from my old blogsite but I chose to make it my first post here as I officially start my blogspot (finally!). Now, why this? Well, there are various reasons. Since it's the beginning of the year (it's my year!) and the start of a new blog warehouse, I thought of having a positive aura incorporated into it. Forgiveness came so naturally among the many subjects I can think of. Leave all the grudges, ill-feelings, and bitterness behind. Let the last decade deal with it! I'm only bringing with me all the good stuff!

Oftentimes, when "forgiveness" pops in, we think only of those people who have hurt us. Let's remember that we should forgive ourselves as well. It's the only way to move on and start anew. Time for a fresh start!!!

ABOUT ME:

While “Love Will Keep us Together” was enjoying the top of the charts in the mid-70’s, my mother was painstakingly in labor which ended up in a caesarian, thanks to me settling in a Breech position (feet first). Was I proving to be different that early on? Nah, I think of myself more of a bucketful of contradictions. A feminist who hopes that chivalry would live on…. a frugal but impulsive shopper…. an indecisive gal who takes long to decide on something but almost always still ends up with the wrong choice…. loves to drink but doesn’t like getting drunk yet keeps preaching health and wellness…. a liberal conservative (or vice versa, whatever makes sense)…. a born and raised Catholic who doesn’t thoroughly trust the Bible…. loves to sleep but always stays up late…. etc, etc,.

The facts: I love food/cooking, dogs, plants/gardening, dark chocolates, traveling, beaches, sunrises/sunsets, lifting my dumbbells a couple of times, reading books/watching movies that keeps my mind hyperactive even way after reading/watching it, food, food, food and food (a self-proclaimed glutton). I believe in God and abide by two commandments: to love God and my neighbor. I hate politics, I don’t watch the news anymore, heck I don’t watch tv at all. An all-around music-lover (except metal), mostly inclined to the 80’s and 90’s tunes, but if I do use my mp3 player, you can surely bet it’s either The Secret audiobook I’m listening to or Leo Buscaglia’s. Lastly, I love myself in a healthy, non-egoistic way. I’m sure there are still a lot, but I’m so darn forgetful.

When it comes to travelling, I am a late-bloomer. My awakening happened last year after I finally quit my job which was literally killing me with stress. So much for work-life balance - an over-used, unpracticed phrase. After being a slave for the manufacturing industry for 10 long years, I decided to take a long deserved break and give in to a passion I have long been suppressing – to travel. Here, I would like to share my adventures (and misadventures), and also those of my friends’, to perhaps help other travelers, to entice those who have not gotten their feet wet yet, and of course, to promote tourism. Coz really, the Philippines is such a beautiful place, our beaches alone offer the best in Asia, don’t let the opportunity to visit one of them pass you by.

As with any blog, the opinions stated here are mine, based on my interests and passions. So, if you disagree with some, let’s just agree to disagree, peace to you all.
